I was running around prepping a job on William St, Paddington today (stylist’s clock up a lot of miles in heels) and quite by chance became the first person ever to walk into the new Jac+Jack store in Sydney.
Jac+Jack’s new store I’m sure will be a huge success, they’re known for their quality tee’s and knits.

Jade Parfitt perfectly personifies the British Supermodel. She’s now a TV presenter and has walked for fashion’s biggest names including the late Alexander McQueen. She and I worked together on VogueTV, slipped into some truly unforgettable situations, chatted to fashion’s finest and had some Champagne-fuelled adventures along the way.
… Enjoy Clare Alstin

Day 1
Today I saw Christopher Kane who showed a beautiful black collection; dresses were form-fitting with flowers embroidered on them. Stunning.

Erdem was absolutely amazing. He told me his inspiration came from the movie Alive, you know the one where a plane crashes and people survive in the snow swept Alps? He wanted the collection to feel like the dresses were made out of many other pieces sewn together. American supermodel Trish Goff was almost in tears at the beauty of it all!

Front row sightings so far: At Vivienne Westwood Janet Jackson, Naomi Campbell and Nicola Roberts all sat front row with Kate Moss missing the show but arriving late to congratulate Viv.

Day 2
Front row at Peter Pilotto, it’s Trish Goff, Yasmin le Bon and me! Very excited to se what the new print masters had in store; beautiful tailored leather trousers, draped dresses with flashes of silver fur. The design duo told me they were going for a more organic approach using natural fabrics where possible. A slightly more sophisticated collection from one of the hottest UK based labels.
Take a look at these exclusive behind-the-scenes images from the April Edition of Harpers Bazaar out next week. Guest Creative Director Edward Coutts Davidson invited local designers to work with Australian icons, challenging them with some never-before-featured locations for the shoot. It was a huge production of incredible proportions with the end result (which I was privileged to see, thanks Harper’s) a magnificent wonderland – enjoy this sneek preview…

Camilla and Marc met New York jewellery designer Pamela Love in NYC last year and it proved to be a perfect match. The pairing worked together on a stunning collection for Camilla and Marc – a complimentary addition to their store in Paddington, Sydney. Camilla and I agree this gold claw cuff is the standout piece.

Clare Alstin (Style Me Romy’s new contributing Fashion Editor) joined me at the Chanel show in Randwick, Sydney on Tuesday night. Following the show, we deliberated over our top five fashion moments of the night…

Clare: I loved the rustic Chanel stable setting; it completely recaptured Lagerfelds’s country barnyard scene that was erected during the Paris shows last season.
Romy: Yes Spring-Summer 2010 ready to wear show, unfortunately minus one Lily Allen.
C: Clogs? love or loathe they are set to make a comeback next season, what did you think of them Rom?
R: A little heavy for me but a perfect compliment to the collection.
Clare and I
C: I’m not usually someone who enjoys eveningwear but yes the assymetrical cream and black ribbon dress makes me want to indulge.

C: In keeping with the French, Kym Ellery’s showed us her rainbow selection of cigarettes which has us in stitches.
R: She was just off the plane from Paris and exuding a certain je ne sais quoi don’t you think?
C: Yes! And her latest collection for RAFW sounds like it’s going to be amazing.
New York Fashion Week is nearing an end and Style Me Romy’s contributing photographer Tim Kindler highlights some great backstage moments…

Its hard to stay fashionable with temperatures below zero, but New York’s Fall Fashion Week 2010 from all reports was a celeb fueled fashion frenzy despite a slight trip up from Agyness Deyn.

Natalia Vodianova was back and walking the runway this season and it’s always so exciting to see her. The first time I met Natalia was in Amagansett, New York and she was just pregnant with her first son (pictured below). She made lunch for us (in the extreme heat) in only a G-string. What’s not to love?
