The exceptionally glamorous Miranda Otto getting ready tonight at Renya Xydis city salon before the premiere of her latest film, South Solitary, at the Sydney Film Festival.
The brief was something “truly special” I think we achieved this.
John Cassavetes, what can I say, Ive opened up one of my old film journals and there’s pages on him. He’s a director that has influenced so much of my career. I’m excited to see that one of his beautiful and quite confronting films will be playing at the Sydney Film Festival. As well as Luchino Visconti’s movie Senso- the colour in a Visconti film is a work of art.

Gucci and Sydney Film Festival are presenting two beautifully restored classics from the Cinema Visionaries series –John Cassavetes ‘A Woman Under the Influence’ (Saturday 5th June 2010, 10:30am AGN NSW) and Luchino Visconti’s Senso (Sunday 13th June 2010, 12:05 State Theatre)
