Smashing it with We Are Handsome

At midday today Indhra and Jeremy from We are Handsome will be showing their spring/summer 14 collection. They answered a quick q&a inspired from ‘SMASH’ Hits magazine proving that they’re just as cool as their designs.

Rebel Without a Cause

Get Kym ELLERY and I in a room together and conversation always turns into eyebrow raising banter. So when styling the ELLERY collection this season, the themes stayed the same; baddies, rebels, bandits, misfits, renegades. Here a documented look at this knock out collection.

Naturally Flannel

It was so refreshing to see simplicity at its finest in breezy silhouettes and buttery lawn cottons referencing American Indian culture. Signature peasant blouses were a plenty as were maxi’s and relaxed short shorts all in earthy tones. Oh and did we mention that leather pinafore.

Magic Mushrooms

I want what they were on! The Romance Was Born show ‘Mushroom Magic’ was like tripping without the illicit drugs (or so I’ve heard!). Entering the show felt like stumbling into a magical land with marshmallow mountain stools and glitter pools made of sugar, which were good enough to eat. And so were the clothes; candy colours, tulle trims, lots of frills, flares and psychedelic prints. A collection fueled by 70’s love children and enhanced by the live tunes of Paz Lenchantin (loved her). And we haven’t even got to the hair and makeup! Here a closer look at Alan White for ghd’s hair sensations…

Alan White’s tips for getting the perfect ‘shroom’ inspired by Peggy Moffitt the fashion renowned 60’s model and muse:
prep the hair with ghd total volume foam then curl under with ghd eclipse and use a ghd dressing brush to smooth out the hair for the perfect finish.
