90 and Still Looking Good
Milan Feb 23rd 2011
Gucci’s Fall 90th anniversary show provided all my favourite styling cues, a sexy 70’s vibe, colour clash, belts, fedoras and big knickers! It absolutely rocked and I asked fashionista friend’s if they had the same crush…
Miranda Otto, Actress, “As soon as I read Angelica Houston was an inspiration, I knew I’d love it. Colour for winter and such great colours. I get so sick of black.”
Gabriele Hackworthy, Fashion Director Harpers Bazaar, UK “I loved the colours and luxe 70’s vibe of the show, plus the fedora’s looked great.”
Nick Smith, Editor GQ Australia, “Frida Giannini meets Charlie’s Angels Full Throttle. Gotta love it. The colour choices are sublime and sexy, just like her cuts and silhouettes. If living the luxe life in the seventies was that cool, I want to go back there.”
Above, Lauren Brown, model (Pricillas) “Doing Gucci rocked, it was an amazing experience -definitely a career highlight. There’s always a great buzz backstage when you do shows of this caliber and of course the clothes were amazing.”
Renya Xydis, Hair Director, “The hair had a great shine that illuminated the girls faces – they really glowed. The low side part was modern and cool but I particularly loved how the back of hair had a look of freedom, there was movement as they walked down the runway.”
