In memory of Sam Haskins
It’s very easy to see where my influences lie.
I would like to take a moment to pay tribute to the late Sam Haskins.
Photographer Haskins, really enriched my life with his portraits of women. The playful sexiness, the intimacy, he was truly a pioneer. Thank you.
I remember the first time I ever saw a Haskins book, it was an old edition of ‘Cowboy Kate’. It was on my friend Gail Elliot’s coffee table in the Hampton’s. Later in life, Gail was photographed by Sam Haskins and said to me “I’ve worked with everyone, from Helmut Newton to Steven Meisel and was most nervous with Sam”.

I am also the proud owner of a vintage copy of ‘Five Girls’, it’s so precious to me.
Below are some shoots I’ve styled that are Sam Haskins inspired….
