Bloggers unite

I made a blogger friend, Anina.

Anina, at the Marnie Skillings show

Blogging legend and model Anina is in Australia covering RAFW, we sat next to each other yesterday at the Marnie Skillings show. Founder of 360Fashion LIVE, a live streaming application on Facebook. She was live streaming the show from front row, and I can’t believe our interview was going live to Facebook fans via her phone! She also has Aninadressup, not sure what it is but it looks really cool, maybe we can explain it to you later.

In your birthday suit

Birthday Suit started in Paris in 2008, the label of The Kingpins. Known for their international art exhibitions and their one off couture pieces worn by the likes of Kanye West, Beth Ditto (the Gossip) and Lady Gaga. Here’s a sneak peak of what their S/S show has to offer…

“Inspirations for hair at Birthday Suit are birds of paradise, deco silhouettes and hair bondage”,  ghd Hair Director Sophie Roberts.

Birthday Suit has collaborated with Miss Frou Frou on creating this unique nail polish colour. I’m sure it will be a hit, just like their much anticipated show tonight.

My thoughts… dishevelled school girls at a naughty picnic.

The Zampatti show with Claudia Karvan

Claudia Karvan and I are on the hunt for the perfect Logies dress for this weekend, yes this weekend!! Today at Carla Zampatti’s show we found some great options, take a sneak peek at the looks.

Claudia wore superfine shirt and told me about her latest shopping spree at Trunk, 5 William St Paddington (Robby Ingham’s recycle store). We giggled over wiggles band-aids she wore, cute.

A stylist’s life…

It has been a typical crazy week and here’s a little taste of it- some behind the scenes footage from the Mezi jewellery catalogue shoot.

I have to say a big thank you to Lizzi at Pricillas models, who saved the day with our gorgeous model Bambi.

Ladies who Lunch

I was honoured to be amongst leading Australian woman in the arts at Cockatoo Island- a lunch put on by Bulgari, The Biennale and Harper’s Bazaar. I talked about the stress of preparing for a show RAFW with Bianca Spender and Anna Plunkett (Romance was Born). Michelle Jank made me laugh as always and if there was to be a life after Harper’s Bazaar for Editor Edwina McCann it would be filled with taps, recently renovating she’s found a huge gap in the market for ‘couture  hardware’ in homes.

Kym Elphinstone [art]iculate, PR manager suggested seeing the artist collective called AES+F out of the Biennale’s 167 odd. “They are a Russian collective, whose imagery really fits with a fashion audience.”
